English Bobby's, a Major General and all his daughters presented by Phoenix
Theatre and supported by Laughing Horse Productions. Directed by Adam
Salathiel with Music Direction by Paul Olsen
Pirates of Penzance
The story concerns
Frederic, who, having completed his 21st year, is released from his
apprenticeship to a band of tender-hearted pirates. He meets Mabel, the
daughter of Major-General Stanley, and the two young people fall instantly in
love. Frederic finds out, however, that he was born on 29 February, and so,
technically, he only has a birthday each leap year. His apprenticeship
indentures state that he remains apprenticed to the pirates until his 21st
birthday, and so he must serve for another 63 years. Bound by his own sense
of duty, Frederic's only solace is that Mabel agrees to wait for him
faithfully.
REHEARSAL DATES:
Rehearsals start Wednesday 3rd of April 2013. They will run Monday, Wednesday
and every 2nd Sunday in Hamilton Hill.
SHOW DATES: Opening Night
5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th July 2013 at 8pm and 7th, 14th July 2013 at
2pm.

Auditionees will need to
prepare a song of their own choice, you can either bring your own backing
music, or use our available pianist. Recommended that you wear comfortable
clothes as you will be required to sing, act and dance as part of the
audition"
