"America’s #1 network delights millions of loyal viewers each and every week with such diverse hit series as Two And A Half Men starring Ashton Kutcher, NCIS featuring Mark Harmon and the legendary reality TV smash Survivor hosted by Jeff Probst and never one to rest on its plentiful laurels, CBS is lining up another must watch program and casting calls are out for fresh new talent. The all new police drama Golden Boy is set to hit the airwaves soon and the search is on for a host of aspiring performers to round out it’s talented cast and you could be the next actor chosen. Submissions for a number of supporting roles of all sizes are being accepted now for the next monster CBS hit.
Golden Boy will follow Walter Clark as he rises from gifted rookie New York police officer to a position as the youngest police commissioner in department history. Along the way audiences will be treated to a police procedural show unlike any on television filled with brilliantly complicated cases that show just how talented Clark is, how he achieved his prestigious rank and just what he had to do (both good and bad) to get it. Golden Boy has an exciting creative team behind it that includes executive producer Grag Berlanti (Everwood, Arrow, Brothers & Sisters), Emmy Award winning writer Nicholas Wootton (Law & Order, NYPD Blue, Chuck) and director Richard Shepard (The Matador, Oxygen, Girls) and an incredible cast that features the talents of Theo James (Underworld: Awakening, The Inbetweeners Movie, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger), Chi McBride (Boston Public, Gone in Sixty Seconds, Pushing Daisies), Bonnie Somerville (The Ugly Truth, The O.C., Crime + Punishment in Suburbia) and Holt McCallany (Fight Club, Three Kings, The Search for One-eye Jimmy). The producers and casting directors are still on the lookout for up and coming performers to be a part of this sure to be drama classic and casting calls are being held now.
